Brian O Brien Lectures at Living Futures USA

Brian O Brien gave a lecture entitled The Architectonics of Sustainability at the prestigious Living Futures UnConference 2012. 1000 people gathered in Portland Oregon, one of the USAs most green cities to hear luminaries such as Vandana Shiva and Jason McLennan speak about sustainability and Living Building design. Brian's lecture delivered in a session on implementing Living Buildings was well received with many participants noting how lucky we were in Ireland to have access to such a range of proven  natural construction materials. Attendees also cited how unusual Solearth's design approach of achieving comfort through the integration of fabric and services was. In a unexpected turn of events  earlier in the conference, Brian had been awarded one of only 11 inaugural Living Building Hero awards which is a great honour
